An internal medicine ward rarely has one clear diagnosis per bed — it has patients whose conditions overlap, whose medication lists are long, and whose day can turn on something a nurse notices before anyone else does. Rijnzicht Medical Centre Groep is hiring a Clinical Nurse for our 24-bed internal medicine ward in Amsterdam, covering a patient group with a wide range of chronic and acute conditions. The role: you manage a caseload of five to six patients per shift, administer medication, monitor for deterioration, and work closely with the ward's physicians and the discharge-planning team to keep patients moving toward a safe discharge. Key Tasks — Clinical Care: - Medication administration and monitoring for a caseload of five to six patients per shift - Early recognition and escalation of patient deterioration to the ward physician Key Tasks — Coordination: - Daily coordination with physicians during ward rounds - Input into discharge planning alongside the ward's social worker General: this role rotates across day, evening and night shifts on a four-week roster published in advance; English B2 is required for clinical documentation, Dutch is not required. Compensation: €2,800–3,300 gross per month, shift allowance, pension contributions.
